Hackensack, NJ – August 13, 2026 – LiveU and Panasonic LUMIX announced the launch of the “Live Anywhere” workflow, demonstrated in collaboration with Social180Group. Built around the LUMIX S1II, Panasonic UB-series box cameras, and LiveU’s Solo PRO and LU800 production field units, the system enabled the team to produce dozens of live streams directly from the crowded NAB 2026 and InfoComm 2026 show floors. The blend of mobile journalistic and IRL streaming styles provided engaging short form content for viewers who couldn’t attend.

“Live Anywhere” is a practical, mobile-first approach to live production that combines high-quality LUMIX imaging with LiveU’s IP bonding technology for transmissions. The result is a lightweight, flexible system that allows creators and production teams to go live from virtually any location without the need for traditional broadcast infrastructure.

At the center of the workflow is the LUMIX S1II, used as the primary handheld camera for its image stabilization, hybrid phase autofocus, and open gate flexibility. It was paired with the LiveU Solo PRO via HDMI to transmit a stable, high-quality signal. The team also used the compact Panasonic UB-50 box camera, connected via SDI to the LiveU LU800.

“This was about staying mobile and staying fast,” said John Porterfield, Social180 Group Founder & Webcast Producer. “We were able to move through the trade show floors, capture what we needed, and go live without being tied down to a traditional setup. The combination of LUMIX and LiveU gave us the reliability and image quality we needed in a very unpredictable environment.”

“What stood out was how simple the system became once everything was dialed in,” continued Porterfield. LUMIX handled the image, including stabilization, autofocus, dynamic range, and LiveU handled the connection. It’s about having a system that just works so you can focus on the story.”

What is Live Anywhere?

Live Anywhere is built on two core components:

· LUMIX and Panasonic Cameras – Delivering cinematic image quality, advanced autofocus, and stabilization in compact, portable bodies.

· LiveU Transmission Solutions – Providing bonded cellular connectivity through Solo PRO and LU800 field encoders, ensuring reliable live streaming without dependence on a single network.

Together, these tools allow creators to produce professional live content from virtually any location without the need for satellite trucks, hardwired internet, or large production teams.

“LUMIX is helping what live production can look like,” explained Panasonic LUMIX Business Manager Neil Matsumoto. “With the S1II, creators can work untethered in a true run-and-gun environment while still capturing cinematic images with shallow depth of field, which is something that hasn’t traditionally been part of live broadcast.”

“In the current climate where production teams need to produce more content with smaller teams and budgets, our bonded technology coupled with a powerful camera like the Panasonic LUMIX, allow for “run and gun” flexibility – without compromising the production value,” said Mike Mahoney, VP Sales – Growth Markets, LiveU North America. “We were happy that this workflow, not only gave audiences a glimpse into their favorite brands but also offered each brand value in delivering a quality program.”

Beyond Trade Shows

While demonstrated at NAB 2026 and InfoComm 2026, Live Anywhere is designed for a wide range of real-world applications, including:

· Live Sports Coverage – Sideline, grassroots, and niche sports production

· Music Festivals and Live Events – Mobile coverage across stages and environments

· Corporate Communications – Internal broadcasts, product launches, and executive messaging

· Social Media Creators – High-quality live streaming for platforms and brand partnerships

· News Gathering and Documentary – Rapid deployment in dynamic, on-location scenarios

The system’s flexibility allows teams to scale from single-camera streaming to multi-camera productions without significantly increasing complexity.

New relationship expands reseller access to scalable RiMotion instant replay and ViBox All-In-One live production systems

MINEOLA, N.Y. — July 16, 2026 — Broadfield Distributing Inc., a value-added distributor specializing in professional video production, live streaming, media storage, broadcast and AV-over-IP technologies, today announced the newest addition to their extensive line card: Riedel Communications’ SimplyLive live production solutions.

The new relationship gives Broadfield’s network of resellers, system integrators and value-added resellers access to Riedel’s flexible, software-driven tools for live sports production and instant replay. Broadfield will support its channel partners with product selection, workflow guidance and technical expertise for productions ranging from streamlined, single-operator events to larger, collaborative productions.

“Riedel’s SimplyLive portfolio gives our dealers a powerful new way to address the growing demand for professional sports production at every level,” said Glen Seaman, Director, Engineering at Broadfield. “RiMotion and the SimplyLive Production Suite Flex solutions combine comprehensive production capabilities with intuitive operation, remote-production flexibility and a scalable architecture. These solutions are an excellent fit for Broadfield’s commitment to helping our partners design effective, practical video workflows.”

RiMotion Instant Replay Solutions

Broadfield’s Riedel offering includes RiMotion bundles with the RC-200 replay controller fully configured with hardware and software licenses, providing configurations for six, eight, 10, 12 or 16 channels of instant replay. Broadfield also offers supporting options including a RiMotion Launch Services Pack at a special discounted rate allowing integrators to offer 3 hours of Commissioning services, 3 hours of technical training and 3 hours of operator training bundled together at a special price. Riedel Care SLAs, the RiMotion Super Slow-Mo license add-on and PS-NUC for local access or the PS-NUC-Remote for remote access are all also available and can be included in custom quotes from Broadfield’s CPQrew – a sales engineering team designed to support the Broadfield sales team and their dealers.

RiMotion combines an intuitive touchscreen interface with dedicated replay control, giving operators the flexibility to work with the touchscreen, the tactile remote controller or both. The platform supports optional super slow-motion camera workflows and is designed for remote and at-home production, allowing the processing hardware to remain at the venue while the user interface is extended to operators at another location. This approach can help production teams reduce their on-site footprint while maintaining responsive, professional replay control.

SimplyLive All-In-One Production Systems

Riedel’s SimplyLive Production Suite Flex systems bring live switching, graphics, instant replay, highlights and audio presets together in an integrated production environment. A single operator can manage the primary elements of a complete live show from one touchscreen, while the same system can expand into a collaborative, multi-user workflow for larger productions.

“Broadfield’s focus on professional video, extensive channel relationships and understanding of real-world production requirements make the company a strong distribution partner for our SimplyLive solutions,” said Gregory Macchia, Product Marketing Manager Live Production at Riedel. “Together, we can help more sports organizations and production teams implement flexible workflows that make sophisticated replay, switching, graphics and audio capabilities easier to deploy and operate.”

BirdDog Becomes First Hardware Manufacturer to Achieve Full NDI® 6.3 Compatibility Across Its Entire Product Line https://news.broadfield.com/birddog-becomes-first-hardware-manufacturer-to-achieve-full-ndi-6-3-compatibility-across-its-entire-product-line/ Wed, 10 Jun 2026 16:35:17 +0000 https://news.broadfield.com/?p=36124 Industry-first adoption of NDI 6.3 discoverability features delivers plug-and-play IP video across multi-subnet enterprise, broadcast, and campus networks

LONDON (June 9, 2026) - NDI, the global standard for plug-and-play IP video connectivity, today announced that BirdDog, a leading manufacturer of professional NDI hardware,  has become the first hardware manufacturer to achieve full NDI 6.3 compatibility across its entire product lineup of cameras, encoders, and decoders. BirdDog hardware now natively supports NDI 6.3’s enhanced discoverability features. Those features include active Discovery Server registration through the new Sender Advertiser APIs, hostname-based device grouping, and real-time property broadcasting. This makes scalable IP video deployments far simpler, especially in segmented enterprise networks where that kind of simplicity has historically been difficult to achieve.

Before NDI 6.3, scaling across subnets was manual and complex. Discovery Server setup, IP tracking, and mDNS limitations made it difficult for sources and receivers to connect across VLANs. NDI 6.3 fixes that at the protocol level. Compatible BirdDog devices now auto-register with a central Discovery Server, route video via unicast, and send real-time status updates, significantly reducing deployment overhead.

“BirdDog has worked with NDI from the very beginning, so we understand what it takes to make IP video work reliably in real products and real workflows,” said Dan Miall, CEO of BirdDog. “NDI 6.3 removes more of the friction from large deployments, giving customers easier discovery, easier management, and more confidence as they scale. BirdDog solutions are ready to put those improvements to work.”

BirdDog embedded NDI 6.3’s Sender Advertiser APIs directly into device firmware across its full product range, a native hardware behavior, not a software overlay. Combined with NDI 6.2’s Receiver Discoverability support already in place, both encoders and decoders are now fully visible and addressable across the network. Operators gain end-to-end signal visibility and real-time routing control through BirdDog Connect, BirdDog’s centralized management platform.

“With NDI 6.3, we are making it easier for organizations to deploy and scale NDI across more complex network environments,” said Miguel Coutinho, Head of NDI. “That is an important step in expanding what the ecosystem can support.”

The practical outcome for operators is significant. An IT director deploying 50 cameras and decoders across a multi-building campus can now power up devices that automatically appear named, grouped, and ready to route without manual source entry or specialist network configuration. In broadcast and education environments where multicast is restricted between segments, NDI 6.3’s unicast model resolves subnet visibility at the protocol level, preserving IT network segmentation without limiting production capability.

NDI Launches Free Developer Course and Announces Demos & Course for InfoComm 2026 https://news.broadfield.com/ndi-launches-free-developer-course-and-announces-demos-course-for-infocomm-2026/ Tue, 02 Jun 2026 18:06:19 +0000 https://news.broadfield.com/?p=36014 New five-hour course equips software developers and SDK integrators with the architecture knowledge to build reliable NDI-enabled products

LONDON (June 2, 2026) NDI, the global standard for plug-and-play IP video connectivity, today announced NDI Fundamentals for Developers, a new free online course for developers building NDI-enabled products. Available at no cost, the five-hour course is designed to give software developers, product architects, and SDK integrators the foundational knowledge needed to design, implement, and validate robust NDI-enabled products. Participants can also receive AVIXA Renewal Unit (RU) credits upon completion.

The course is structured around three core learning objectives where students will learn to design NDI-enabled product architecture by selecting and combining the appropriate NDI system roles, properly separating media and control functions, and applying suitable design patterns for reliable AV-over-IP product behavior. Participants will also develop practical skills in using NDI SDK documentation, reference examples, and structured testing workflows to guide integration decisions, implement core NDI features, verify expected behavior, and troubleshoot technical integration challenges.

The course also covers how to evaluate and improve NDI product robustness by identifying performance constraints, applying monitoring and diagnostic methods, and enhancing interoperability through effective sound metadata and implementation choices. Additionally, it introduces best practices for validating AI-assisted development outputs against official references and testing standards.

"NDI has always grown through the creativity of its developer community,” said Roberto Musso, Technical Director at NDI. “This course is designed to help developers better understand the technology, build with confidence, and explore new ways to stretch what’s possible with NDI in real-world applications.”

The new developer course builds on NDI’s existing education offerings, including its NDI Basics course, which helps onboard the next generation of IP video users. By expanding its curriculum to address the technical needs of developers and integrators, NDI continues to invest in the tools and resources that support its rapidly growing ecosystem of compatible products across hardware, software, and cloud-native workflows.

NDI will extend its developer education momentum to InfoComm 2026, where Roberto Musso will present Introduction to NDI Development, a dedicated session designed to give developers and integrators a practical on-ramp to building on NDI. Interested participants can register for the session taking place Tuesday, June 16 from 4-5 p.m. at W203/W204 through their myInfoComm login. While distinct from the online course, the session covers complementary ground offering a live, interactive introduction to NDI development that pairs well with the self-paced NDI Fundamentals for Developers online course.

Visitors can also experience the breadth of the NDI ecosystem firsthand at the NDI Ecosystem Booth, located in Central Hall at booth C7572. The booth will bring together a selection of NDI ecosystem partners including TSL, Creston, BirdDog, Inogeni and more showcasing the range of NDI-compatible products and workflows across hardware, software, and cloud environments. Broadfield Distributing Inc. Unveils Revolutionary AI Order Processing Engine – Delivering Industry-Leading Fulfillment Before You Even Know You Need It  https://news.broadfield.com/broadfield-distributing-inc-unveils-revolutionary-ai-order-processing-engine-delivering-industry-leading-fulfillment-before-you-even-know-you-need-it/ Wed, 01 Apr 2026 16:24:08 +0000 https://news.broadfield.com/?p=35208 Mineola, NY – April 1, 2026 – Broadfield Distributing Inc., the nation’s leading specialist in live production, streaming, video editing, and AV-over-IP solutions since 1980, today announced the launch of its groundbreaking AI Order Processing Engine. This next-generation system promises to redefine fulfillment for system integrators and VARs by anticipating exact product needs before clients even realize they have a job.

Gone are the days of waiting for purchase orders, RFPs, or frantic last-minute calls. Broadfield’s AI doesn’t just process orders — it reads the future.

“Our new AI engine analyzes market trends, job site patterns, weather data, client calendars, and even the subtle vibes from your latest Zoom calls,” said Gary Bettan, Owner and President of Broadfield Distributing Inc. “It knows when your team is about to land that church install, corporate event, or esports arena project weeks in advance. The gear literally shows up on the job site before you’ve been hired. No more delays. No more surprises. Just pure, magical fulfillment.”

Early beta testers are already raving. One East Coast integrator reportedly arrived at a venue to find a full NDI workflow — complete with PTZ cameras, production systems, and shared storage — neatly stacked and ready to go, even though the client hadn’t signed the contract yet.

“It was like the products knew I was coming,” the integrator said. “I thought I was losing my mind until I got the Broadfield invoice that somehow predated my own proposal.”

The AI Order Processing Engine leverages advanced predictive algorithms (and a little April magic) to ensure that Broadfield’s extensive inventory arrives exactly when — and where — it’s needed. System integrators can now focus entirely on creativity and execution, while Broadfield handles the impossible: delivering the right gear to the right place before the need even exists.

“This is more than just faster shipping,” added Jim Bask of Broadfield. “This is proactive, preemptive, almost psychic distribution. We’re not just your distributor — we’re your crystal ball with a warehouse.”

Of course, as with any revolutionary technology, there may be minor quirks during the initial rollout. A few early shipments have reportedly arrived at job sites that don’t exist yet, or for events scheduled in 2028. Broadfield engineers assure users these are “features, not bugs,” and the AI is simply getting a head start.

Mineola, NY – February 26, 2026 – Broadfield Distributing Inc., a leading value-added distributor specializing in live streaming, storage, production gear, professional video systems, and AV-over-IP solutions since 1980, today announced the expansion of its sales team with two key hires: Michelle Kingsbury and Alana Kessler. These additions reflect the company's ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional support to resellers, system integrators, and partners across North America as demand for advanced video and Pro AV technologies continues to accelerate.

Michelle Kingsbury joins Broadfield as the dedicated sales representative for the Northwest region. Alana Kessler has been appointed to cover the Southwest and Southern California regions. Alana brings extensive experience in enterprise technology sales and channel growth. Most recently, she served as Sales Director at Pixitmedia by DataCore, where she drove significant revenue growth through strategic partnerships and expanded channel activity. Her proven track record includes building long-term client relationships and consistently delivering measurable results. Prior to that, Alana held roles in inside sales at Atempo and strategic account management at a VAR in Los Angeles. A resident of Los Angeles, California, she lives with her husband and daughter and enjoys concerts, travel, and cheering for the 49ers.

"We are thrilled to welcome Michelle and Alana to the Broadfield team," said Jared Engler, Broadfield Sales Director "Their combined expertise and regional focus will enhance our ability to provide specialized, responsive support to our partners in key markets. As the industry converges around AV-over-IP, live production, digital signage and other innovative technologies, having dedicated professionals like Michelle and Alana ensures we remain the go-to distributor for complete glass-to-glass solutions."

These hires underscore Broadfield's strategic investment in its sales organization to better serve the evolving needs of the Pro AV and broadcast communities. The company remains 100% focused on video production, streaming, and AV-over-IP—unlike broadline distributors—enabling faster responses, greater flexibility, and direct access to experts who help partners win deals.
