Atomos converters that require configuration all have easy to use hardware dip switches on the units themselves. Now, you can also configure the Atomos Converters with ConnectOS on your PC! Just put your converter in USB mode and connect to a USB port.

The ConnectOS USB application is available for download on the Atomos Firmware Download page.

Atomos Connect Converters

There are 15 models in the line-up for Broadcast and ProAV integrators, with 6 color coded families to make finding the right product for the right solution easy.

LOCKABLE HDMI
Connect HDMI devices with confidence that they will remain securely fixed. A provided HDMi locking plate screws into the converter, allowing HDMI cables of different sizes to be secured with a cable tie.

LOCKABLE DC POWER
Just like the SDI and HDMI connections, DC power connection is made secure with a screw thread sleeve that locks the power connection in place.

REMOVABLE MOUNTING EARS
Each converter comes in a slimline metal housing with removable mounting ears, allowing for flexible mounting options for Broadcast and ProAV applications.

DUAL AC/USB POWER
Apart from mains power, there are options to power the converters via USB, providing the ability to run for hours from simple cellphone power banks or TV USB sockets.

IBC 2017: New Atomos Connect Converters – Connect, Convert, Scale, Sync, and Split Just About Everything

Atomos opened their IBC 2017 presence with their new Atomos Sumo19M HDR Production monitor, which we posted about here, and now they also announced the new lineup of Atomos Connect Converter devices aimed not just at broadcasters, but also live events such as concerts. The new Atomos Connect Convert line comes colour coded and forms a comprehensive and versatile lineup of 15 different conversion, signal processing and system integration boxes that connect, convert, scale, sync, split and repeat your video signals. The new lineup of Connect converters is not to be confused with the already existing Connect H2S HDMI to SDI and visa versa.

The new lineup of Connect Convert devices feature a robust construction with locking DC and HDMI connectors, USB power and detachable mounting ears. Status is clearly displayed on bright LEDs and they can be quickly and easily configured using the free ConnectOS software. According to Atomos those are rock solid in terms of build quality and reliability, which combined with easy integration were key criteria when designing the range.
