Introducing ATOMOSphere: The Cloud Production Platform That Works with Any Camera, Anywhere https://news.broadfield.com/introducing-atomosphere-the-cloud-production-platform-that-works-with-any-camera-anywhere/ Thu, 10 Apr 2025 13:00:00 +0000 https://news.broadfield.com/?p=31618 In this article by Atomos, the company officially introduces ATOMOSphere, a powerful new cloud-based production platform and membership ecosystem that transforms the way creators manage, store, and share video content. Seamlessly integrated with Atomos Ninja and Shogun devices, ATOMOSphere empowers filmmakers, content creators, and production teams to upload, edit, and collaborate from anywhere in the world.

At its core, ATOMOSphere simplifies cloud workflows by supporting live uploads directly from cloud-connected Atomos monitor-recorders, while also remaining fully compatible with other popular cloud platforms like Frame.io, Dropbox, Sony Ci Media Cloud, and more. Even if you’re working with files from non-Atomos cameras or traditional physical media like SSDs, ATOMOSphere serves as a powerful intermediary cloud solution, giving users full control over their production pipelines.

The membership model is built to scale. All registered Atomos users gain access to a free Starter Plan, which includes 20GB of storage, monthly updates, and access to exclusive perks. For growing teams or professionals working with high-resolution files, paid plans begin at just $10/month for 500GB, or $159/year for 1TB, complete with added discounts on Atomos gear in select regions. Larger storage plans unlock even deeper discounts and access to advanced tools.

Atomos has partnered with Storj and Seagate Lyve Cloud to ensure fast, secure uploads with enterprise-grade encryption, while the integration of Axle AI enables next-gen features like automatic transcription in nearly 20 languages, intelligent media tagging, search, and cloud-based non-linear editing.

Whether you’re editing on the go, collaborating with remote teams, or managing high-res footage, ATOMOSphere is a future-ready solution designed for creators of all levels. As of the latest AtomOS 11.15.00 update, supported devices can now upload directly to ATOMOSphere, no extra steps needed.

If you already own an Atomos device, your free ATOMOSphere account is ready to go. And if you’re just joining the Atomos community, there’s never been a better time to streamline your workflow and take your productions into the cloud.

Social Media Production Tips From MrBeast https://news.broadfield.com/social-media-production-tips-from-mrbeast/ Fri, 28 Feb 2025 18:00:00 +0000 https://news.broadfield.com/?p=31071 In this article by Larry for LarryJordan, the author explores key insights from MrBeast’s social media production strategies, highlighting how they differ from traditional broadcast media. MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, has built a massive following by prioritizing engagement metrics over traditional production values. His recently published guide, How to Succeed in MrBeast Production, provides a detailed breakdown of his content creation philosophy, emphasizing that success on platforms like YouTube depends on factors such as Click-Through Rate (CTR), Average View Duration (AVD), and Average View Percentage (AVP). Unlike traditional media, where quality and ratings define success, MrBeast’s approach focuses on making the most compelling YouTube videos possible, rather than the most polished or cinematic ones.

A crucial takeaway from MrBeast’s strategy is the importance of thumbnails and titles in driving CTR. He argues that even the best content will go unnoticed if the title and thumbnail do not entice viewers to click. His team often crafts these elements before even producing the video to ensure maximum engagement. Furthermore, maintaining audience attention throughout the video is key to optimizing AVD and AVP. The first minute must be highly engaging to minimize drop-off, followed by a strong execution phase, and re-engagement techniques around the three-minute mark to keep viewers invested. MrBeast’s editing philosophy ensures there are no dull moments, with each second of content designed to hold attention and lead to a satisfying payoff.

Beyond engagement tactics, the guide also stresses the importance of creativity in the production process. MrBeast describes his team as a “creative first” production company, emphasizing that excitement and authenticity drive their success. His process includes detailed planning, constant filming to capture spontaneous moments, and a strong internal communication structure to maintain efficiency. While his large-scale productions may not be feasible for everyone, his core principles—prioritizing engagement metrics, focusing on viewer retention, and structuring videos for maximum impact—offer valuable lessons for any content creator looking to improve their social media presence.

Reigart for NAB Amplify discusses the perspective of Taylor Lorenz and Gary Vaynerchuk on content creators as entrepreneurs. The post highlights the challenges and skills involved in being a successful content creator, emphasizing the need for storytelling and strategic content creation.

Lorenz and Vaynerchuk stress the entrepreneurial aspect of content creation, noting the difficulty of the job despite its often-negative reputation. They discuss the importance of analytics, posting times, and features for creating successful content.

The blog post also touches on Lorenz’s book, “Extremely Online,” which explores the history of social media and the development of the creator economy. Lorenz discusses the mistakes made by platforms like Vine and Snapchat in not embracing influencers and the importance of being consumer-centric and flexible in adapting to trends.

Regarding the future, Lorenz predicts a desire for simultaneous ephemeral experiences, noting potential opportunities in niche apps and restricted communities. The evolving business models for creators and the shift towards alternative revenue streams, such as merchandise and product lines, are also discussed. Lorenz suggests that the upcoming Hollywood strikes may present a significant opportunity for internet content creators.
