SAN ANTONIO, Texas—Vizrt Group brand NDI today announce its upgraded support for Adobe Creative Cloud with the launch of NDI 5 earlier in the year.

Network Device Interface (NDI) expanded its support for Adobe Creative Cloud with integrated extension panels for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, streamlining production by removing the need for producers and creatives to export designs for teams and clients to review.

“Designers, producers and directors globally utilize Adobe Creative Cloud to create new content and new experiences. With new tools from NDI 5 – NDI Bridge and NDI Remote – creators enjoy a streamlined workflow to advance creativity and output,” said Robert Musso, senior product manager at NDI. “With NDI, using a simple internet connection multiple editors can edit, highlight and localize content in record time; clients can virtually oversee the edits; multiple editors can create different outputs from the same live source – the possibilities on offer are revolutionary.”

NDI 5 for Adobe Creative Cloud makes it possible for multiple editors to create different output of the same live sources at the same time from anywhere in the world. It also allow creative collaboration and widens access to creative talent, as well as enabling integration among disparate toolsets to make workflows cohesive and unlock value and enhances talent acquisition and retention, NDI said.

I personally feel Adobe and Premiere Pro, in particular, have always been somewhat unstable. It is getting better. I use version 13.1.5 on a daily basis and it has been for the most part reliable. I also avoid updating to the most current version as it generally has been a bug fest. I don’t enjoy losing work and dealing with crashes in the name of progress, however, this new release does have essential new features that I would like to try. See how it is?

I hope Adobe is getting the updates to be more stable as we all can take advantage of features that will make our jobs easier and more creative. Just don’t crash while doing it.

Improve efficiency in video production

ProRes RAW support in Premiere Pro and After Effects provides a comprehensive, cross-platform solution for Apple ProRes workflows from camera media through to delivery.

More streamlined graphics workflows in Premiere Pro include an improved Pen tool with better support for Bezier curves, enabling greater precision for creating lines and shapes. Filter effects show attributes that only have keyframes or adjusted parameters so you can focus on the currently active effects.

It might only be Halloween, but Christmas has come early for Premiere, After Effects, and other Adobe Creative Cloud video apps users.

At IBC, Adobe announced its next round of integrated workflows and performance enhancements. This morning at Adobe MAX, a creativity conference in Las Vegas, those updates were released into the wild.

If you’re only recently accepting that Final Cut Pro 7 is probably not going to keep working for you forever — especially considering Apple’s unsurprising recent announcement it won’t be supported in High Sierra — maybe it’s time to look at what Adobe Creative Cloud has to offer because some of the updates will seem a bit familiar. The rest of it – from VR to AI – could hardly have been fathomed the last time FCP7 was updated.

Today’s release includes announcements sprinkled throughout the year, including Motion Graphics templates from After Effects to Premiere, which allow ease of use of graphics packages for lower thirds and bumpers.

Virtual reality is now possible inside Premiere, with editors being able to work while wearing VR head-sets. VR mode in Premiere and VR Comp Editor in After Effects will allow VR producers and editors to take the next step forward in immersive storytelling, scrubbing the timeline through the headset or switching between different formats to make sure it’ll work no matter the platform. Most of these features are powered by Adobe’s artificial intelligence and machine learning framework, Adobe Sensei, which was launched about a year ago.

First, Adobe says that motion graphic templates in After Effects will be easier to access because now editors can pull templates right from Adobe Stock and through Creative Cloud Libraries.

Adobe’s Character Animator 1.0 is also getting an update. Adobe reports that there will be changes to its core animation functions, which include pose-to-pose blending, new physics behaviors and visual puppet controls. And Adobe’s AI, Sensei, is suppose to help improve lip-syncing by matching you character model’s mouth shapes with your spoken audio….
