Kiloview played a pivotal role in modernizing the AV infrastructure of the 71st Macau Grand Prix, one of the world’s most renowned motorsport events. Partnering with the Macau SAR Government Sports Bureau, the Macau Grand Prix Organizing Committee, and the Automobile General Association Macau-China (AAMC), Kiloview introduced an NDI AV-over-IP solution that transformed video transmission, monitoring, and recording across the 6.2-kilometer Guia Circuit. This upgrade was essential to overcoming the challenges posed by the circuit’s aging baseband video system, ensuring seamless, high-quality broadcasts for refereeing, live production, and post-race analysis.

The Macau Grand Prix demanded an advanced AV system capable of handling more than 60 HD and 4K signals from strategically placed cameras, including NDI PTZ units for enhanced coverage. Kiloview’s solution addressed the complex signal management required for real-time distribution to multiple operational centers, such as the control room, announcers’ area, judges’ office, and security team. Security and stability were paramount, with the system needing to guarantee uninterrupted, broadcast-grade reliability for the globally televised event. By replacing legacy cabling-heavy setups with a scalable IP-based infrastructure, Kiloview future-proofed the venue while optimizing cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Kiloview’s deployment featured a range of cutting-edge technologies to meet these demands. The NDI N60 converters facilitated high-quality 4K P60 HDR encoding and decoding, offering minimal latency and multiple output formats for different operational needs. The NDI CORE MAX ensured seamless multi-channel signal switching and distribution, while the NDI CUBE R1 provided secure multi-channel recording for refereeing and post-production. Additionally, Kiloview’s Multiview Pro enabled real-time monitoring across various locations, and the KiloLink Server Pro centralized device management, allowing for remote monitoring and updates. These innovations enabled smooth and efficient video operations throughout the event.

The impact of Kiloview’s NDI AV-over-IP solution on the 71st Macau Grand Prix was profound, with event organizers praising its reliability, scalability, and flexibility. The deployment not only enhanced the race’s live production but also set a new benchmark for AV infrastructure at the venue. Kiloview has optimized the recording performance in this version, and now the preview of NDI HX can be supported on the device’s screen. The features of Playback and NAS will be optimized in future firmware updates.

• Optimized the performance of transcoding recording (supporting 1 channel of 4Kp60 or 4 channels of 1080p60 transcoding recording).
• Fixed the issue of NDI HX preview failure.
• Fixed the issue of severe frame loss when recording with N5/N6 (the latest firmware version 1.01.0014 allows N5/N6 to record normally).
• Fixed the problem of being unable to manually save network configurations in environments without DHCP, prompting an “invalid subnet mask configuration” message.
• Fixed the issue of being unable to preview an added video source when manually adding the video source in NDI discovery server mode on the PC end.
