Achieve Your Hybrid Worship Goals with a Connected Ecosystem of AV Tech https://news.broadfield.com/achieve-your-hybrid-worship-goals-with-a-connected-ecosystem-of-av-tech/ Mon, 04 Dec 2023 15:00:00 +0000 https://news.broadfield.com/?p=27190 The blog post “Achieve Your Hybrid Worship Goals with a Connected Ecosystem of AV Tech” by Steve Milley for ReligiousProductNews discusses the increasing trend of churches adopting hybrid worship formats and how a connected ecosystem of AV (Audio-Visual) technology can assist in achieving the goals of engaging both in-person and remote attendees.

The post highlights that 81% of churches plan to continue offering hybrid services, requiring strategies to target each audience effectively. For in-person attendees, the emphasis is on creating an immersive visual worship experience using technologies like AR, VR, and projection. This includes projecting readings and images on walls, utilizing digital displays, and employing live production tech for simultaneous services on busy holidays.

To engage remote worshippers, the post emphasizes the importance of a high-quality broadcast. This involves deploying audio technology tailored to the space, such as a reliable wireless microphone system. The choice of cameras, particularly PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras, is crucial for streaming in-person services effectively. These cameras are compact, blend well with the church environment, and can be easily operated to capture various aspects of the service, enhancing the remote viewer’s experience.

For promoting in-person gatherings, visual tech like digital signage displays is recommended. Digital signage is deemed more effective than traditional methods for sharing updates about community events, such as church picnics and clothing drives, helping increase community engagement.

The post also addresses the challenge of integrating remote worshippers into the community. Despite only 28% feeling connected to physically attending worshippers, the use of AV technology, specifically PTZ cameras and wireless microphone systems, can bridge this gap. PTZ cameras, when panning the room to show in-person congregants, create a sense of presence for remote viewers, while wireless microphone systems ensure clear communication during hybrid small group meetings like Bible study sessions.

In conclusion, the post emphasizes that technology will play a crucial role in the future of hybrid worship. By deploying an appropriate connected ecosystem of AV tech, churches can create engaging services and build a sense of community for both remote and in-person attendees.

Panasonic PTZ line up: Several layers of auto-tracking performance https://news.broadfield.com/panasonic-ptz-line-up-several-layers-of-auto-tracking-performance/ Mon, 13 Nov 2023 16:00:00 +0000 https://news.broadfield.com/?p=26981 In this video, Mads Bolding talks about a buzz word that is on everybody’s mind, when it comes to the PTZ’s: Auto Tracking. PTZ cameras are offering new ways to film smoothly and from challenging angles without having to manually move the camera around or operate it by hand. The Auto Tracking Application automatically tracks people with precision to ensure they are always in the frame, without the intervention of a camera operator. Being AI-based the function is enabling single and multi-camera shoots to be filmed, the tracking reduces the burden on AV staff or operators whilst still capturing high-quality, professional content. We have now expanded the functionality by offering several layers of auto-tracking performance: Built-in auto-tracking is a free of charge, easy-to-use system that is provided with some of our PTZ cameras as a standard feature* and basically runs on the camera’s processing power. External software-based auto-tracking, a more sophisticated and customizable system that requires the AW-SF100 or AW-SF200 Panasonic software and runs on the CPU and GPU power of the computer on which the software is installed.
