In this video, Mads Bolding talks about a buzz word that is on everybody’s mind, when it comes to the PTZ’s: Auto Tracking. PTZ cameras are offering new ways to film smoothly and from challenging angles without having to manually move the camera around or operate it by hand. The Auto Tracking Application automatically tracks people with precision to ensure they are always in the frame, without the intervention of a camera operator. Being AI-based the function is enabling single and multi-camera shoots to be filmed, the tracking reduces the burden on AV staff or operators whilst still capturing high-quality, professional content. We have now expanded the functionality by offering several layers of auto-tracking performance: Built-in auto-tracking is a free of charge, easy-to-use system that is provided with some of our PTZ cameras as a standard feature* and basically runs on the camera’s processing power. External software-based auto-tracking, a more sophisticated and customizable system that requires the AW-SF100 or AW-SF200 Panasonic software and runs on the CPU and GPU power of the computer on which the software is installed.

BirdDog Stories: Channel 9 uses A300 for live-to-air Sydney Harbour shots, time lapse, and more

Channel 9 Australia’s most watched free to air commercial television stations and has a BirdDog A300 permanently attached to the roof of it’s high rise building in North Sydney. They use the A300 for some amazing footage of Sydney Harbour, including time-lapse videos of amazing weather patterns, lightning shots, and of any incidents that happen on the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Channel 9 also uses a bunch of BirdDog 4K QUAD converters around their facility.

Designed for fixed outdoor installations such as sports, the IP67 rating and the Wind Load Durability rating equal to that of a category 4 Hurricane, which means A300 can withstand pretty much any weather conditions. By teaming up BirdDog’s custom NDI^® silicon chip, a Sony CMOS backlit sensor, and a true Sony Image module A300 has lightning auto focus, incredibly sharp images, and insanely fast zoom. A300 has frame rates up to 1080p60, 30x optical zoom, and outputs SDI and Full NDI^® simultaneously.

BirdDog 4K Quad has 1x HDMI 2.0 Output and 4x 12G SDI Input/Output. Following on from the award winning HD NDI® products, the 4K Family has been engineered from the ground up for real-world users.
