Learn the advantages of upgrading to NewTek TriCaster Advanced Edition 2.0 software for TriCaster. There are great additional features and tools, but what makes this update essential is the launching of the much anticipated NewTek NDI (Network Device Interface) enabling switching and mixing over IP. The guide below goes over the details and what you should know as you or customers upgrade.

If you or your customers are not yet running Advanced Edition on your TriCaster, learn about NDI below. Those of you on older model TriCaster may need to upgrade to the latest hardware in order to run Advanced Edition.

Advanced IP WorkflowNEW – Video Over IP Send and receive real-time, low-latency, frame-accurate video over IP on a standard network infrastructure via the NDI protocol, NewTek’s innovative Network Device Interface technology, with any NDI-enabled device on the same LAN available as a video source or destination.

Audio Output Configuration Dedicate output of Master and Aux audio mixes from TriCaster’s built-in audio mixer directly to external audio gear. With this revised configuration, Master and Aux are supplied to the first two analog output groups, respectively.
Audio Recording Options Configure the captured audio source for each ISO recording with per-channel audio signal selection.
Default Media File Level Reduce time spent individually configuring audio levels for non-native clips and sound files by assigning a preset level to all files added to media players.
Noise Gate Manage audio signals with greater precision using new noise gate settings in the audio mixer to exclude low-level sounds.
VU Meters Achieve higher-quality sound by determining audio clipping more easily and accurately with an updated VU meter interface.
