Atomos has released their latest highly portable recording unit, the 5-inch Ninja V 4Kp60 HDMI/SDI HDR monitor/recorder. For video production, Ninja V offers connectivity with a wide range of cameras including the new mirrorless DSLRs. Ninja V can eliminate a camera’s internal compression and time limits – it can record up to 4Kp60 10-bit HDR video direct from a camera’s sensor over HDMI 2.0, and offers storage add-in options of up to 150 Tb. For gaming, Ninja V is a stand-alone system for 4k UHD, HDR and high frame rate capture that eliminates expensive, complicated and unreliable PC setups.
f you’ve been walking around Hall 12 at IBC 2018 you’ve probably noticed a new Netflix logo that a few manufacturers have placed around their booth proudly announcing they are part of a new initiative. The new Ninja V monitor recorder was designed with modularity at its heart, and to confirm that’s true, Atomos announced at IBC 2018 that the Ninja V is ready to be released, and debuted an expansion system that uses the Ninja V’s bi-directional high speed expansion port breaking out connectivity for I/O of video, audio and power: AtomX.
The new V60 microSDXC UHS-II microSD media cards come in sizes of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, and enjoy u3 write speeds of up to 80MB/s and a maximum read speed of up to 200 MB/s. Other features include:
