BIRDDOG STORIES – Jesse Osmer & The Goetheanum
By Jennifer P
The Goetheanum is a large conference and research centre near Basel in Switzerland. The building itself was designed by Rudolf Steiner and named after Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Jesse Osmer, the IT and Video guy over at The Goetheanum, enlightened us about how they use BirdDog cameras, converters, and NDI across multiple different rooms and events, and bring that signal into a central location, capturing it into Wirecast and sending it where it needs to go. They were already pushing audio throughout the location using Dante Audio over the network, adding BirdDog and NDI to push video over that chain was an easy solution. Jesse goes through the set up, starting with 1xP200 and building up the current setup using 1x PTZ Keyboard, 5x P200, 2x P100, 2x Mini’s, 13x Flex Out, 10x Flex in, and 5x Flex Backpacks!
