BirdDog Unveils MAKI Live 4K Wireless Camera and Studio Controller at NAB 2025

At NAB 2025, BirdDog unveiled its latest innovations in portable production: the MAKI Live 4K wireless camera and the MAKI Studio control system. Designed for content creators, educators, and live production professionals, MAKI Live is a compact, lightweight 4K box camera—roughly the size of a sushi roll—featuring 3x optical zoom, Wi-Fi connectivity, NDI HX3 support, and up to 6 hours of battery-powered use. A unique Halo Tally Light wraps around the lens, helping on-camera talent engage more naturally while supporting customizable colors for easy multi-camera identification. Partnering seamlessly with it is the MAKI Studio, a hardware controller that works with an iPad, enabling users to switch cameras, add titles, and stream or record—all from a fully wireless setup that fits in a backpack.
