Broadfield Cares partners with illuminAid

Mineola, New York – May 26th, 2022 – Broadfield Cares has partnered with illuminAid, a media and capacity building non-profit that works to reduce global poverty through solar-powered and battery-operated video technology. Their mission is to help in educating the world’s poorest billion people through low-cost video technology.
Gary Bettan spoke with Matt York, Founder and Executive Director of illuminAid and Videomaker Inc. about illuminAid and how you can help support the application of solar-powered video technology to alleviate global poverty through a new fundraiser.

illuminAid is a media and capacity building non-profit that works to reduce global poverty through solar-powered and battery-operated video technology. We train non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on how to utilize the technology to create videos that spread vital knowledge to rural, impoverished communities that primarily don’t have access to electricity. This approach has served as a catalyst for knowledge dissemination and positive behavior change strategies that have helped impoverished communities worldwide gain access to key information to help their communities sustain themselves and thrive.
