Controlling PTZ Cameras using Roland Switchers
By Adam Noyes
The Roland line of switchers are excellent tools for your live streaming production workflow. And, they are perfect for workflows with PTZ cameras involved in the setup.
Check out this video from Roland covering PTZ Camera Control using Roland Switchers.
PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) cameras offer studio-grade picture quality and can be installed in churches, conference halls, theatres, or any place where there is limited room thanks to their small size and remote operation.
In this video, you will learn how to set up, configure and control PTZ Cameras using the Roland VR-50HD MK II, V-60HD, and XS-62S. Roland Switchers can eliminate the need for a dedicated PTZ controller. Roland’s free Remote-Control Software or RCS (Remote Control Software) can instantly record and recall numerous shots with memory presets. This provides greater coverage of the action as the PTZ cameras can capture wide and closeup shots. The powerful memory function on the front panel of the Roland switchers can also be used—both interfaces are ideal for single-operator productions.
