Las Vegas has unveiled a cutting-edge live entertainment venue with a stunning technological setup. The venue features a massive 580,000-square-foot LED exterior and a 160,000-square-foot, 16K resolution wraparound LED screen inside. This screen, paired with spatial audio and 4D effects, creates an unparalleled immersive experience.
The venue’s first show in September 2023 was headlined by a legendary musical act, with multimedia system designer Fuse Technical Group orchestrating the intricate video and lighting systems. Fuse utilized their expertise in SDI and event production to build a system capable of managing 16K video resolution over a complete SMPTE ST 2110 IP backbone, allowing for dynamic live input movement across the LED canvas.
Fuse collaborated closely with Matrox Video to integrate advanced ST 2110 workflows, using Matrox’s ConductIP for routing and orchestration, and ConvertIP devices to convert high-resolution SDI into ST 2110. This collaboration ensured low latency and high-speed network performance. Additionally, Matrox’s Extio 3 IP KVM extenders allowed for efficient remote operation of multiple computers from a single workstation.
The result was a breathtaking show that amazed both the audience and the technical team, demonstrating the powerful synergy between advanced technology and creative vision.
