How To Live Stream A University Presidential Inauguration – Case Study From Newman University

By Jamie G 0 Comment November 10, 2021

YoloLiv interviewed Video Communications Specialist for Newman University, James Sanny on his experience with the YoloLiv YoloBox Pro. Newman University located in Wichita, KS had to turn to live streaming to keep COVID-19 safety measures in place and reduce gathering sizes. The YoloBox Pro made the important live stream for the University’s presidential inauguration possible and Sanny believes it will help future live streams to help build relationships with alumni, donors, and protentional students from all over the world.

Sanny used a Sony A6600, Sony A7RIII, Comica XD Boom wireless mic system, Rode VideoMic, and of course the YoloBox Pro for his setup. The YoloBox Pro is a video switcher, encoder/streamer, monitor, recorder and audio mixer all in one. With built-in restreaming service, native support integrates directly with YouTube/Facebook/Twitch, adding graphic overlays (logos, lower-thirds, picture in picture, scoreboard, rolling captions) and featuring comments to the stream, Side-By-Side, Split-View and much more. YoloBox Pro brings the professional features and processing power required for the most demanding live broadcasts.

The biggest benefit of using the YoloBox Pro for Sanny was the easy and fast setup, and the extra ability to create lower thirds, text scrolls, add logos etc. Sanny’s favorite features are the  multiple camera inputs and the ability to record the stream without internet (the monitor mode). He also like the ability to load videos onto an SD card and play them during a live stream.
