Welcome to my OBS Studio MASTER CLASS – The most in-depth and comprehensive OBS Studio tutorial course EVER MADE. This should be a great one-stop shop of a resource for you to learn about the software.

This episode focuses on NDI – a new streaming encoder from NewTek that allows you to send your video stream over a network to another PC with minimal CPU load. This allows you to use a second streaming PC WITHOUT A CAPTURE CARD and supports HIGH REFRESH RATE gaming without screen tearing.

In the video he demonstrates how to install the plugin and the required runtime library, and setting up both input and output of NDI streams for OBS Studio. He comes to this conclusion after noting the few simple steps required for each of these tasks:

“And here’s the catch you’ve been waiting for…oh wait! There isn’t one. Yeah. That’s really it. It’s really that simple. No-capture-card streaming, and capture at very high quality with minimal latency and super-simple setup. Especially in the higher-level broadcast world, NDI basically feels like magic. Try it yourself, there’s lots of neat uses for it – this is how I’m going to be streaming from my retro gaming setup, as well…”
