Live streaming and Updating Fimware with Pearl: a how-to video series
Pearl is an incredibly versatile system. Our online user guide guides you through step-by-step instruction for using Pearl for live streaming and other tasks, but for more visual learners, I’m happy to introduce a series of How-to Videos that highlight a few different abilities and how to use them.
Our how-to videos currently feature screen captures using Pearl, but the same processes can also be applied to VGA Grid, VGADVI Recorder Pro and Pearl-2. All the videos are under 4 minutes in length, so they should make for a concise, succinct lesson on each subject, and good quick refresher course as needed!
More videos will come in the following months, but the first three are:
1. Upgrading Pearl with new firmware
Pearl’s firmware upgrade system is a way for Epiphan to provide you new functionality and bug fixes. By installing this file, your system will have all the latest features. The process is easy. Here’s how!
2. Streaming to YouTube Here’s a great primer on how to use Pearl to live stream directly to YouTube. It’s easy to do! Follow along with this tutorial using your Pearl and YouTube accounts.
3. Streaming to Facebook Live
Facebook’s recent move to include live streaming is becoming very popular. This basic overview of creating a live stream will have you up and running in no time at all! We’ve used this a few times recently in our own Palo Alto offices, for live streams from the Silicon Valley Realtime workshop and the Restaurant Tech Meetup Group as well as for our Pearl-2 launch.
More to come….
We’ll be continuing this series of videos, with more soon to come. You’ll certainly see more videos about AV.io 4K and Pearl-2 in the coming months. We hope you found these videos helpful. If you have product topics you’d love to see a How-To video about, please leave a comment below!
