By Jennifer P
In the “InfoComm 2024: Gary Kayye Takes a Deep Dive Into the Panasonic Connect KAIROS Switcher” YouTube video from rAVe [PUBS], Gary Kayye discusses the Panasonic KAIROS switcher with Payton Thomas from Panasonic Connect. The KAIROS system, initially seen by Gary at an ORTS arena production, is a GPU-based processor for multiscreen applications and unique aspect ratios. It features a touchscreen controller, compact panel, and software interfaces like Stream Deck. The KAIROS, a 3U or 4U rack-mounted device, supports SDI, NDI, SRT, and RTMP formats, with future support for IPMX. Integrators can purchase the system with training and commissioning. Ideal for Esports, it handles computer signals efficiently, supports macros and automations for pre-programming shows, and allows full control of auxes for recording and preview programs. The KAIROS switcher is versatile for in-house production, universities, sports, journalism schools, and live events.
