Introducing Wirecast 14.2

Wirecast 14.2 is bursting with new features and free if you’re on a current Access Plan. Here are just a few of the new improvements we’ve made.
New! Secondary Display Live Output: (Pro-only) This Wirecast Pro feature adds a new type of output that sends the live program to a secondary display. Unlike the multi-viewer, which is designed for monitoring, the Secondary Display Output is designed for final output. This offers an alternative to hardware-based program out. It’s also an alternative to Virtual Camera/Mic, when paired with a UVC HDMI capture device, which could then be used in other applications, like Zoom or Teams.
New! Placeholders and Shot Templates: These two new and improved features let you save time setting up your Wirecast documents. Use Shot Templates to easily add a pre-configured shot layout to your document. Assign cameras or sources to Placeholders to quickly add a source to any number of shots. You can use the integrated Shot Templates or create your own. This is especially helpful for preconfiguring your shots before your Rendezvous Guests arrive. Then simply assign your guest to a placeholder, and they will be automatically placed in all your designated shots.
New! Native support for Apple Silicon hardware: Wirecast is now optimized to run natively on Apple Silicon.
New! Lock Shot Icon: This option lets you take a snapshot of your live shot and save it as the icon thumbnail image. This static image will override the live view of that shot. This is helpful if you have PTZ preset shots and want the shot thumbnail to show what the camera will show.
New! PTZ control for Sony X-Series IP cameras: A new Sony X-Series VISCA/UDP protocol profile is now available in the PTZ controller. This lets you pan, tilt and zoom your Sony X-Series camera with the built-in PTZ controller in Wirecast .
New! Input Connection selector for Blackmagic devices: This new option lets you select the type of video/audio input connection (HDMI/SDI) used for incoming Blackmagic Designs sources. This helps ensure you have the right connection chosen, to reduce errors in your incoming sources.
New! Support for LinkedIn Live Auto-Captions: Now you can easily make your LinkedIn Live broadcasts more accessible by adding auto-generated captions to any LinkedIn Live video. Click to “Enable” Auto-Captions in the Wirecast Output Settings for LinkedIn, and your viewers will be able to see the captions in their player.
