Live Streaming is Here to Stay
By Jamie G
With the sudden pandemic last March, concerts, trade shows, conferences, house of worship services, and much more had to become virtual. With the world slowly turning back to normal we think that streaming will here to stay. Epiphan recently released an article stating the 5 reason they think virtual events will be the future, and we have to agree! The hybrid model of live virtual events comes with many benefits that venues or event planners might have not had acess to before entering the virtual space.
Here are the 5 reason Epiphan believes virtual events are here to stay
- Cut costs
Having hybrid vritual events allows venues to save money in aspects that you wouldn’t be able to save on with 100% in-person events - Boost attendance and increase inclusivity
Having in-person events limits attedence becasue you might only be able to reach people in proximity. Having a vritual event allows people from all over the world who wouldn’t be able to to normally attend view your content and potentially be a life long veiwer. - Increase influence by inviting speakers from around the world
Modern streaming protocols like SRT allow people to bring in vritual guests. This can lead to a whole new audience and bring in new content that you can provide to your audience - Build a new revenue stream
Event organizers can offer their virtual adueince packages that can bring in new revenue and bring in new expereiences for their audeince. - Collect better data
Streaming online allows you to collect anaylitcs and data which can benefit your future. Virtual events allow you to access detailed data like veiwership, how long guests are watching, and how they are engagning and can lead to changes you might need to make for future events.
