NewTek Deal Registration Program
We are constantly in search of ways to improve the experience you have with NewTek. We recognize that as we expand our product line to appeal to the higher end of the video production market, you invest more time and effort to provide an excellent purchase experience for our Customers. To accommodate your needs as an exceptional NewTek channel partner, we are introducing a Deal Registration Program, effective March 2016.
Our goal is to create a win-win-win situation. We understand the kind of commitment that it takes on your part to facilitate the sale of products like TriCaster 8000, the professional 3Play line, and our Live Sports Solution Bundles. Your product and industry expertise, along with the time you’re spending building these key relationships, make all the difference in assuring that our Customers are happy, and successful with the investment they make in NewTek.
As of now, TriCaster 8000, 3Play 4800, 3Play 440, and all NewTek Live Sports Solution Bundles (including any combination of TriCaster and 3Play except for 425 and Mini) will be included in our Deal Registration Program. We have taken steps to assure that this process is as painless as possible for all involved.
We are implementing the Deal Registration Program through Channeltivity, the NewTek Partner Portal that you already have experience using. The process is quite simple; all it takes is a few steps:
- Log in to Channeltivity
- Locate the new Pipeline Module/Deal Registration tab
- Enter your deal
- Receive an email notification from NewTek with status of your request
Once you close the sale, you simply attach a copy of the end user PO to the history section of the deal record. Deals that you register will automatically expire after six months, but we recognize that the process often takes longer than those six months. If the deal term expires you may re-register the deal at any time.
We appreciate your commitment to NewTek, and we hope you recognize our commitment to your success as a valued NewTek channel partner. We’re looking forward to a productive and profitable year for you, our Customers, and the company, as we continue to innovative and deliver products unlike any other in the industry.
Detailed Deal Registration Program Process
- Log in to NewTek’s Channel Partner Portal, Channeltivity – https://newtek.channeltivity.com/.
- If you do not have an account, select “Request Account” below the log in.
- Enter the Deal into the Pipeline Module/Deal Registration tab.
- Receive an email notification with an approval or rejection of your request.
- If approved, the Reseller will update the deal stages as the deal progresses or every 60 days.
- If customer “opts” out of Professional Services, a letter (email) from the End User must be added to the history section of the deal record.
- When deal is won, the Reseller must attach a copy of the End User PO to the history section of the deal record.
- The Deal will expire after 6 months of the original completion date. It can be re-registered at that point in time.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Why and when do I register a deal?
The intent of this program is to reward those channel partners who are performing value-added activities on an End User project. Our customers will always benefit from a properly prepared, equipped and staffed partner. In our book value-add is king. The deal form will request you provide evidence of work performed on the project.
What not to do
The Deal registration program is not a vehicle to corral business or opportunities without action on your part. NewTek will be verifying and confirming all registration claims as part of the process. Abuses of this program by misrepresenting your work on any deal may lead to the termination of the offending channel partner.
Work your Deal
If your deal has been approved, continue to nurture the deal and upload any relevant docs to the deal history record.
What is the Reseller price of a participating product?
Price books for participating program products, TriCaster 8000, 3Play 4800, 3Play 440 and NewTek Live Sports Solution Bundles including any combination of TriCaster and 3Play (except for the Mini family) have been updated with a 10% discount off MSRP. Once you register a deal and receive a PO from the End User (you’ve won a deal) upload the End User PO to the history section of your approved deal transaction on Channeltivity. The remaining Reseller margin will be awarded when your PO is processed by NewTek or indirect through your participating distribution partner. Always note your Deal Registration ID on your PO. Deal Registration pricing is located on the Deal Registration tab of your price book.
Who do I contact with questions?
Contact your NewTek Inside Sales Rep or Distribution partners with any questions regarding the Deal/Product Registration Program or a specific deal you are working.
What does Under Review mean?
The Under Review registration status is for those duplicate and triplicate deals entered into Channeltivity. This status will allow the Sales Director to dig into each deal to determine which Reseller is doing the work.
The Customer has decided he wants to look at a TriCaster 8000, when I registered a 3Play 4800. Does that require a separate registration?
Instead of registering a new deal, you may go in and edit the current deal to add the product and modify the amount.
What if I quoted before the Deal Registration Program?
Even if the deal was created prior to the program, we must register the deal and a quote, with the date created, is required.
