The Datavideo PTC-150 camera is a robotic pan/tilt/zoom camera, able to pan, tilt, and zoom via remote control with programmable presets. Four PTC-150 cameras were used for all the performances at NAMM 2016. They are operated by the Datavideo RMC-180 remote controller, and one camera operator can control all four cameras via ethernet connection. Presets were created for musicians and stage positions, and the cameras were able to change angles quickly to get the same type of live coverage 6-8 cameras would be able to get in most productions.

VariCam V-RAW is the newest format to be supported in Convergent Design’s Odyssey RAW Bundle for Odyssey7Q and Odyssey7Q+ monitor/recorders along with Canon Cinema RAW, Sony FS RAW, ARRIRAW and more. The Panasonic VariCam LT, announced today, will add RAW output in a firmware upgrade from Panasonic this summer.
The Super Bowl pylon cam: well padded to protect players and technology alike. The pylons are based on the company’s FiOPS Point of View camera and feature remote adjustment of video settings and the ability to change lenses without disassembling the pylon. The actual cameras are Marshall units, and signals are output via a small USB connector that doesn’t stop the pylon breaking away when a large man jumps, falls or is pushed over on top of it. Small mics are also buried in the turf nearby to pick up game sound near the pylons.
