Network Device Interface (NDI) expanded its support for Adobe Creative Cloud with integrated extension panels for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, streamlining production by removing the need for producers and creatives to export designs for teams and clients to review.
Frame.io supports nearly 1 million users to date and plans to accelerate growth with Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other Creative Cloud programs. They have also announced they plan to continue to support Final Cut Pro, AVID Media Composer, and DaVinci Resolve.
The spot is called “Fantastic Voyage | Adobe Premiere Pro” and if you’re like me, your first reaction was wow, they spent some money on that. You second reaction might have been thinking about how much of the spot was done in After Effects. Of course the initial cut of any effects heavy spot is done in an NLE and this one was done in Premiere. But my third reaction was a real surprise that Adobe would take this to traditional television with the spot airing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and during critically acclaimed programming on Adult Swim and FX.”
Avid is continuously working to make better, easier and more efficient workflows for it’s editors. Recently the folks at Avid collaborated with Adobe to do just that.
One of Avid’s philosophies is that “No Editor should be an Island.” In other words, a well rounded editor works with a multitude of programs- which includes Premiere Pro. New Avid Tools are built to work perfectly in a workflow with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Editors and post production professionals should not be an island- Avid themselves recently released a great article detailing how editors can create hybrid workflows, utilizing the best of Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Post Production has its own language, but as we incorporate the cloud more and more into production and post, we need to integrate and adopt cloud vernacular.
Back in January, Adobe announced a new Toolset for Premiere Pro. Now, that toolset is finally available- and it is a dream come true for filmmakers editing with the mainstay NLE.
ProRes RAW has been in the news quite a bit recently, with more and more cameras, monitors and NLE introducing support for the format. The latest to join this group is Adobe, by introducing updates to Creative Cloud Applications such as Premiere Pro.
Since we’re not at NAB we thought we could continue our usual NAB chats with various vendors about what they’re up to and what new products they have to share. Adobe Premiere Pro is now shipping a new version that includes Productions.
