“With live productions greatly impacted in the amount of personnel allowed on site, broadcasters have looked to alternate ways to ensure their productions remain an elite viewing experience. In this edition of our SVG SportsTech On Demand series, Panasonic’s Senior Category Owner, PTZ and Remote Systems Jim Jensen shares the tremendous growth in interest of PTZ and remote-operated camera systems in light of the pandemic and how some of the company’s newest solutions – like the Tecnopoint Robo Dolly System – are taking remote and robotic systems to the next level.”
With many of us currently in quarantine, our cameras have become essential tools that let us connect with friends, business colleagues, or even mass global audiences. Whether you’re using a webcam to chat with friends on Zoom, or broadcasting content via live streaming platforms like YouTube Live, having a capable camera with professional features is essential. Panasonic has announced upgrades to KAIROS, its next-generation live production platform, to improve functionality for video production, rendering, and distribution. New features include a more powerful mainframe option doubling the processing capacity for twice the total available layers/Keys, an expansion in standard HD and 4K inputs/outputs, and increased video and still image recording capacity.
Kairos is a new technology from Panasonic that harnesses pure processing power to create unlimited M/Es, keyers and outputs in multi camera live production. Kairos can handle as many inputs and outputs as the GPU and CPU will allow. Many are calling Kairos the Photoshop of Live Video.
