Vizrt takes TriCaster into the cloud and intros new entry level model

By Jennifer P 0 Comment September 20, 2023

Andy Stout recently wrote an article for RedSharkNews talking about the new TriCaster Mini Go from Vizrt. The TriCaster Mini Go is the perfect entry level system for the TriCaster line from Vizrt. Read below for highlights from the article from Andy Stout from RedSharkNews.

Let’s begin with the new TriCaster Mini Go, which is billed as Vizrt’s entry-level TriCaster for streamers and content creators of all types who want to add broadcast quality functionality to their video creations. It costs $4,995 MSRP and has USB, NDI, and SRT connectivity, as well as 4 inputs, 2 M/Es, and mix outputs in HD resolution.

Perhaps more revolutionary is the cloud-based TriCaster Now, which provides virtualised access to the tried and trusted TriCaster software without the need for physical hardware. It provides the usual scalable and flexible cloud benefits, connecting NDI and SRT as well as a variety of IP technologies and other cloud sources and streaming them to any destination.

According to Vizrt, the entire system can be deployed and ready to produce in less than 10 minutes and turned off when no longer required – all without users needing their own cloud infrastructure, saving money and carbon while increasing efficiency.

And, to ensure that TriCaster has something for everyone, no matter where they are on their live production journey, the enterprise-grade 4K cloud-based switcher Viz Vectar Plus has been renamed TriCaster Vectar. TriCaster Vectar will soon be available for deployment to customers’ own cloud infrastructure, with advanced features such as increased bit-depth support, extended bitrate stream quality, and more.

Vizrt now provides customers with two paths to cloud production: simple and standardised with TriCaster Now and customisable and powerful with TriCaster Vectar. It’s a good option, and it’ll be interesting to see how it develops from here.
