Women in AV: A Profile of Broadfield’s West Coast Sales Manager, Brenda W.

In honor of March’s Women’s History Month, we would like to highlight our very own Brenda Wierzchucki, West Coast Sales Manager at Broadfield Distributing, Inc. and industry veteran with a ton of sales experience and a well-balanced lifestyle. Brenda started working at Broadfield in 2020 after several years working together representing Broadfield’s vendors including RED Digital Cinema, G-Technology and other tech companies.
When I asked Brenda how she got started in this predominantly male industry she said “Networking! Before I really knew what that meant. In 2003, one of my past sorority sisters was the HR Manager for ARCHOS. I ran into her at Yard House in Newport Beach shortly after I graduated from college. I told her I was going to start looking for a “corporate job” when she quickly offered me the Sales & Marketing Coordinator position she was looking to fill. It was by chance that I ended up in this industry, but I am so glad I did.”
Brenda is a total Inner Yogi and loves to empower women. People in the industry has referred to her as the Corporate Yogi. “Balancing life with work, family and personal obligations is no easy task and it’s extremely important to me to find some sort of balance through Yoga” says Brenda. “I know I am not the only one. I am surrounded by strong successful women in my life, and I know they are also playing that balancing act. This year I wanted to make space for us all to take the time for ourselves, to reset, reconnect and reenergize for the New Moon.”
So, this year she acted by coordinating a special event and described it as magic. “There were 12 of us, we started with a Tea Ceremony, where we gathered in a circle and talked about our goals, challenges and hopes. We all listened, we cried, and we laughed.” said Brenda. “After that, our Yoga instructor curated an amazing playlist and had us all dancing, while doing yoga at the same time. This event gave us strength while we empowered each other and were about to reset.”
The Broadfield Sales Team enjoys having Brenda apart of the team. Gary Bettan, President & CFO of Broadfield Distributing, Inc. said “Brenda brings years of experience and industry knowledge to our team. We worked with her during her time at G-Tech, inCase and RED. When we learned she was looking to get back into the workforce as her kids got older I knew we had to add her to our team. Having a work / life balance is a big part of our corporate DNA. We put together a package that allows her to balance her career as a mom and a career at Broadfield. We worked together to carve out a position and responsibilities that allowed her to succeed at both. I feel it’s been a win-win for everyone concerned -especially our customers.”
When Brenda’s not working at Broadfield, she is spending time with her family. She described it as “I mom hard!” She enjoys adventures and traveling and encourages her two kids to follow her lead.
When I asked Brenda how it felt being a woman in a predominantly male industry she said “empowering.” She finds the most rewarding part of her job the people. She is inspired by the industry that is represented by a lot of creative individuals.
Brenda has made a huge impact here at Broadfield and we’re looking forward to watching her continue to dominate the industry!
