NewTek Case Study: 4K/HD All Media Production Center of the School of Communication at Mianyang Teachers’ College

The NewTek TriCaster TC1 put the School of Communications at Mianyang Teachers’ College in Mianyang, Sichuan, China at the head of the class. At Mianyang Teachers’ College a new 4K/HD Media Production Center was built. The Media Production Center is the hub for cultivating media talents.
Mianyang Teachers’ College was looking for something that optimized teaching administrations, reformed teaching and innovated teaching models. The TriCaster TC1 was able to do so. The TC1 enables a full IP workflow including signal programming, conversion, scheduling, and recording, as well as virtual studio and live streaming outputs. The TC1 accommodates any combination of compatible video sources, including 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, NDI and mobile/computer IP signals.
The Center included over 80 smart devices, including 4K cameras, a 4K studio system, NDI management and more! The Center is divided into zones. These zones are virtual live streaming, seated interview, standing interaction, anchor dialog, off-site interaction, and classroom observation. It’s complete with IP transmission, transcoding, calibration, recording, virtual set studio and social media live streaming.
The Center was now able to live broadcast, have a virtual studio, have campus-wide high quality video transmission, have remote interactions and internships, have campus-wide high quality video transmission, have multi-channel recording, and have graphics systems and commentary program production.
