NewTek PTZ3 UHD Review

NewTek PTZ3 UHD Review

By Jennifer P 0 Comment December 26, 2022

Adam Juniper recently wrote an article for Digital Camera World reviewing the new PTZ3UHD PTZ Camera from NewTek. This 4K camera built to meet the latest NDI standards is a dream for an enthusiastic broadcaster, especially one committed to the network-friendly protocol. He hopes as the firmware develops that the AF becomes a little smarter/faster, but the system is already surprisingly friendly and flexible while the video quality competes with the biggest of names.

NDI (Network Device Interface) is a technology developed by NewTek that allows for the transmission of low-latency video over IP networks. It is designed to be used in a variety of settings, including streaming, conferencing, and broadcast environments. NDI uses a network standard to transmit video, which allows other information (such as commands and tally) to be sent to the camera over the same connection. The NDI technology is available for free from NewTek, and plugins are available for OBS (Open Broadcaster Software), a popular open-source software for video recording and live streaming.

NDI|HX is a version of NDI developed by NewTek that includes the latest version of the technology and features increased compression. It is available as a 4K PTZ (pan, tilt, and zoom) camera, which allows for remote control of the camera’s movement and focus. NDI is now used by a variety of manufacturers, including Lumens, Marshal, Panasonic, PTZ Optics, and Sony.

The NewTek PTZ3 UHD is a professional-grade camera designed for use in a variety of settings, including broadcasting, streaming, and conferencing. It is equipped with a PTZ (pan, tilt, and zoom) feature, which allows the camera to be remotely controlled and to focus on a specific area. The PTZ3 UHD also has a variety of connectivity options, including a PoE (Power over Ethernet) socket that allows the camera to be powered and to transmit video over a single cable. The PTZ3 UHD is compatible with NDI (Network Device Interface), a technology developed by NewTek that allows for the transmission of low-latency video over IP networks.
