Panasonic Connect has made significant strides in the realm of video production with the introduction of new products and enhancements aimed at elevating both the efficiency and quality of video production processes. Their latest offerings were showcased at the 2024 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show held in Las Vegas from April 14 to 17, 2024.
One of the highlights of Panasonic’s unveiling is the new KAIROS Core 200 AT-KC200L1 mainframe, accompanied by the latest software update, version 1.7. This mainframe introduces smart routing functionality, which is poised to revolutionize video quality and productivity across various sectors, including broadcasting, events, sports, corporate, and education. With support for SDI I/O as standard, the AT-KC200L1 offers enhanced flexibility in video production. Additionally, it boasts compatibility with the second-generation KAIROS Core 200 (AT-KC200) functionalities announced in June 2023, further expanding its capabilities. Moreover, the optional AT-KC20M1 SDI I/O Board, released in February 2024, enables support for up to 32 inputs/16 outputs (FHD), providing customers with even more options for their video production needs.
Furthermore, Panasonic has unveiled exciting enhancements to its AV-HSW10 compact live switcher, set for release in May 2024. This updated version promises to streamline setup processes and improve operational efficiency for webinars and live events. Firmware version 2.00 and the inclusion of the free AV-SF10 software control panel are key components of this enhancement. These features empower operators with efficient one-person control and remote operation capabilities, seamlessly integrating with Panasonic PTZ cameras. Moreover, the switcher will support various IP transmission standards, catering to the evolving needs of modern video production environments.
The enhancements to the AV-HSW10 don’t stop there. The updated model will feature a moving color bar, designed to expedite setup times at live events, particularly those utilizing LED walls and large displays. This addition, coupled with support for tally control via IP connections and integration with RP Link, ensures high-quality online communication and operational convenience. Additionally, a new software control panel will enable users to control switcher functions conveniently from a PC or tablet, simplifying tasks such as shot memory sequencing and still memory management.
In addition to these advancements, Panasonic showcased the AW-UE30 PTZ camera at the NAB Show. This compact yet powerful camera boasts built-in auto tracking, making it an ideal choice for applications in education and business meetings. Furthermore, the AW-UE4 PTZ camera, recently certified for use with Microsoft Teams, was also demonstrated, highlighting Panasonic’s commitment to providing solutions that meet the diverse needs of its customers across various industries.
