Facilis Technology Announces Version 8.3 Featuring FASTCache

Facilis Technology recently announced that version 8.3 with FASTCache is now available! Here’s a picture of Adobe Media Encoder rendering out some Pro Res to a volume mounted over the Internet. Facilis Technology has developed a unique feature called FASTCache. The Facilis HUB family of servers utilizes a custom shared file system, developed by Facilis Technology since 2009. Because of the dedicated connectivity when using this shared file system, Facilis servers can optimize throughput, and control the data caching on client workstations.
FASTCache leverages Facilis’ custom shared file system to write any accessed data to local storage, and/or system memory on the client workstation while always maintaining an active path to the central storage volumes for collaboration and seamless workflow.
