AJA Debuts KUMO 6464-12G Router at NAB 2025

At NAB Show 2025, AJA unveiled the new KUMO 6464-12G, a compact yet powerful 12G-SDI router designed for high-density signal management in modern production environments. This 64×64 router fits into just 4RU of rack space, making it ideal for tight installations such as OB trucks, broadcast facilities, and studio environments where space and silence are at a premium. A standout feature is its completely fanless design, ensuring silent operation—a major advantage for use in audio-sensitive setups.
The KUMO 6464-12G supports dual redundant power supplies for added reliability and offers flexible control via Ethernet or RS-422, with native Grass Valley protocol support for seamless integration into existing infrastructures. Operators can store and switch between multiple routing presets (salvos), streamlining complex workflows and reducing setup time. According to AJA’s Andy, the unit is shipping now and is available for deployment globally.
