Revolutionizing Live Production: AIR AutoPilot’s Breakout Moment at NAB 2025

By Stephanie R 0 Comment April 18, 2025

Advanced Image Robotics (AIR) had a breakout year at NAB Show 2025, showcasing major advancements that drew huge crowds to their West Hall stand. Here’s a look at what made AIR one of the show’s standouts:

Major Industry Recognition
AIR AutoPilot, the world’s first Visual Language Model (VLM) for camera auto-tracking, was recognized with a PILOT Innovation Challenge Award — one of just three awarded this year. This continues AIR’s winning streak at NAB, following their previous Technology Innovation and Product of the Year awards.

Nonstop Demos and Real-Time Learning
Attendees were treated to back-to-back demos showing how AIR AutoPilot can learn and track new objects in real time, even in crowded environments. The “Blue Bin & Lanyard” demo stood out, demonstrating the system’s ability to understand complex objects and maintain tracking even when visibility was compromised.

Expanding Technology Ecosystem
AIR announced new integrations designed to make live production even more seamless:

  • Cartoni Lifto Integration: Elevate AIR One units for dynamic vertical shots, fully controlled through the AIR App.
  • Skaarhoj Joystick Control: Precision pan, tilt, zoom, and roll capabilities with a trusted RCP interface.
  • MrNet Wireless Internet: Reliable broadband connections powered cloud-based AI tracking demos on-site.

Growing the Community
AIR’s team also spoke on industry panels and celebrated the relationships that have helped fuel their success. With solutions that are easier, smarter, and more connected, AIR is helping to drive the future of live production.
