Vendor Update: Atomos Addresses Tariff Uncertainty and Ongoing Pricing Challenges
By Stephanie R
At Broadfield, we always strive to keep our dealers informed on the latest developments that could impact pricing, availability, and your day-to-day business. This week, we received an important message from Peter Barber, Chief Operating Officer at Atomos, addressing the ongoing tariff situation and how it may affect U.S. pricing.
Here’s the full message from Atomos:
Dear Broadfield friends and Dealers,
As you’re aware, the shifting tariff landscape has made it increasingly difficult to predict pricing in the U.S. market. While we remain committed to avoiding any artificial price inflation, we are ultimately subject to the tariffs imposed at the time of import.
Given this uncertainty, we hope to work with you closely on a case-by-case basis to time imports as effectively as possible. Once there’s greater clarity on future tariff rates, we’ll be in a better position to evaluate sustainable pricing for both our dealers and end users.
This is an unprecedented situation—it’s the first time in our history that U.S. pricing may end up higher than the rest of the world. We certainly hope this doesn’t become the new normal, but for now, we must take things one day at a time.
We’re grateful for your partnership and continued support. As always, we’ll collaborate closely with the Broadfield team and our dealer network to navigate this period and ensure customers still have access to our best-in-class technology to power their workflows.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly if you have any questions.
Thanks again,
Peter Barber
Chief Operating Officer, Atomos
