NETGEAR Acquires Exium to Deliver All-in-One Networking and Security for SMBs

NETGEAR has announced its acquisition of cybersecurity innovator Exium, marking a major milestone in its enterprise vision to deliver integrated networking and security solutions for small and medium businesses (SMBs). This strategic move strengthens NETGEAR’s position in the growing SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) market, which Gartner forecasts will exceed $25 billion by 2027.
With Exium’s robust cybersecurity platform, NETGEAR will be able to offer the first fully integrated network and security solution tailored for MSPs and SMBs—a plug-and-play answer to the complexity and fragmentation many small IT teams face today.
Exium’s CEO Farooq Khan will join the NETGEAR for Business leadership team, continuing to lead the Exium product line as it becomes a key part of NETGEAR’s Insight cloud management platform. The result? A seamless, cloud-managed network security solution that’s easy to deploy, manage, and scale—all from a single pane of glass.
The acquisition is expected to close by the end of Q2 2025.
