Atomos Brings its Broadest NAB Showcase Yet
By Jennifer P
In this article for Church Production, Atomos unveils one of its most expansive and ambitious showcases at NAB Show 2026, signaling a major evolution for the company. Long known for its monitor-recorders like the Ninja and Shogun lines, Atomos is now positioning itself as a full ecosystem provider, offering solutions that span the entire production pipeline—from on-camera capture to postproduction and final delivery. This shift is highlighted by a wide range of new products, workflow tools, and services designed to support modern creators, broadcasters, and production teams at every stage.

A key highlight of the showcase is the introduction of the Atomos Sumo PRO-19, a 19-inch 4K HDR monitor-recorder-switcher built for multi-camera environments and on-set collaboration. With features like integrated Wi-Fi, Ethernet, camera-to-cloud connectivity, NDI HX3, and CFexpress recording, it serves as a central hub for video village and production workflows. Alongside it, Atomos continues to expand its popular Ninja lineup while also pushing further into live production with the Atomos Shogun AV-19, a rackmount solution designed for studio, event, and broadcast applications, including mobile setups via its Fly Pack configuration.

Atomos is also making a strong push into PTZ camera production with its A-Eye lineup, featuring AI tracking and advanced control systems like the Atomos A-Eye Controller Pro. Supporting up to 254 cameras and multiple control protocols, this system is built for complex multi-camera environments such as houses of worship, education, and live events. Beyond video, the company is expanding its ecosystem with practical production tools, including audio gear like StudioSonic microphones and headphones, as well as workflow accessories like a USB4 CFexpress card reader and wearable field gear, all aimed at improving real-world production efficiency.
On the software side, Atomos continues to develop its cloud platform, AtomoSphere, introducing new tools like the AtomoSphere Editor for in-browser editing and Ground Control for desktop integration. These updates strengthen the connection between capture, storage, collaboration, and delivery, making cloud-based workflows more accessible with features like 20GB of free storage for new users. This reinforces Atomos’ focus on creating a seamless, end-to-end production environment that bridges on-set and postproduction processes.
Perhaps the most significant announcement is Atomos’ acquisition of Flanders Scientific, a highly respected name in professional reference displays. This move elevates Atomos into the high-end monitoring space, adding credibility and trust for color-critical workflows in postproduction and finishing. With Flanders Scientific continuing as its own brand, Atomos now offers a complete monitoring pathway—from on-camera tools to reference-grade displays—solidifying its transformation into a comprehensive production technology provider.
