LiveU is integrating Starlink broadband directly into its cellular bonding ecosystem, giving broadcast, sports, and field production teams another way to maintain reliable connectivity from challenging locations.
Through the new LiveU Hybrid Data service, cellular connectivity and Starlink broadband are available under one managed data plan. Rather than treating satellite connectivity only as a backup, production teams can use Starlink and cellular together within the same LiveU workflow. LiveU also handles billing, management, and support through a single point of contact.
The service combines LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT), which bonds cellular, Starlink, and other IP connections, with LiveU IQ (LIQ), which analyzes network conditions and dynamically selects cellular operators. Hybrid Data will support LU300S, LU800, and LU900Q field units in the United States and United Kingdom.
For broadcasters and production organizations, the combination provides a more streamlined approach to remote production, sports contribution, field broadcasting, and live video transmission, particularly where cellular congestion, outages, or limited network infrastructure can threaten a live feed.
