Telestream is expanding its Practical AI capabilities across Vantage and the UP Platform, moving beyond AI-assisted content analysis toward greater automation of professional media workflows.
Within Telestream Vantage, new AI capabilities can automatically generate metadata from video, perform quality control checks, and classify content so media can be routed to the appropriate workflow. These functions operate as embedded steps within existing Vantage pipelines, reducing the need for separate AI infrastructure and manual intervention.
The UP Platform takes automation further with AI orchestration that allows agents to execute multi-step media workflows based on natural-language instructions or defined triggers. Its Model Context Protocol (MCP) interface also allows external AI tools and agents to interact with UP functions such as live ingest, processing, and delivery.
For broadcasters, media organizations, and systems integrators, Telestream's Practical AI approach focuses on applying AI directly to operational tasks. The goal is to reduce manual handoffs, accelerate content turnaround, and scale media operations without requiring staffing to increase at the same rate.
