For the premiere of FAUST, an open-air rock musical in Kiel, Germany, the production team faced a unique challenge: capturing a live theatrical performance while distributing the experience to audiences at six additional public locations throughout the city.
The production combined four Panasonic AW-UE150 PTZ cameras, four AK-UC4000 broadcast camera systems, and two AW-RP150 PTZ controllers, alongside aerial coverage. This hybrid camera setup provided flexible remote camera positioning while maintaining traditional broadcast camera operation.
For AV integrators, broadcasters, and live event production teams, the project demonstrates how combining PTZ and studio cameras can support complex, multi-location productions. Panasonic's technology helped extend the live performance beyond the venue, bringing the experience to audiences across Kiel.
