As AV-over-IP adoption grows across commercial AV, broadcast, live production, and corporate environments, scalability increasingly means getting more value and flexibility from existing infrastructure.

In a recent Commercial Integrator interview, AJA Video Systems Product Marketing Manager Angus Mackay explained how moving from traditional baseband infrastructure to IP-based, addressable media streams can make systems easier to expand and reconfigure. Network-based workflows allow integrators to manage devices remotely and repurpose production environments as requirements change.

AJA highlighted the network switch as the foundation of a dependable AVoIP deployment, along with support for technologies such as NDI, Dante, SMPTE ST 2110, SRT, and NMOS. Multi-format solutions can also help customers use the same infrastructure across different applications instead of building isolated systems for each workflow.

Products such as AJA BRIDGE LIVE and IP25 demonstrate this flexibility by helping connect baseband and IP workflows across post-production, live events, streaming, and corporate AV. For integrators, that versatility can provide a more scalable foundation for customers whose production requirements will continue to evolve.
