Avid is very pleased to announce that Media Composer | First, which was first made available last week, on June 29th. This brand new, simple to use editing application is based on the same tools the pros use – Media Composer – but is completely free! For new users and aspiring professionals, there’s no better way to start their journey to the red carpet.
Users can now sign up for and download Media Composer | First here. In fact, Media Composer | First is already proving to be a great success. Besides the reactions from well-known ACE members that we have on Avid.com, and the positive feedback and reviews on Facebook and Twitter, we’ve already received our first stellar review on ProVideoCoalition.com. What’s even more exciting, however, is the number of MC | First users that are already out there; as of 3:30 PM EST Friday, we had 9,002! That’s over 327 new users per hour! We’re continuing to develop and improve Media Composer | First – look for updates in the coming months!
