BirdDog Connect Demonstrates Computer-Free Remote Production at NAB 2026

By Stephanie R 0 Comment May 19, 2026

At NAB 2026, BirdDog showcased how its Connect platform can simplify remote production workflows without requiring a computer at the camera location. In the live demonstration, BirdDog X4 and X5 cameras transmitted video, tally, and PTZ control signals over the public internet from the convention center lobby back to the BirdDog booth, even while operating on completely separate networks.

The workflow used a Mr. Net bonded cellular gateway to maintain reliable connectivity throughout the demonstration. By combining bonded cellular networking with BirdDog’s IP-based production tools, the setup highlighted how broadcasters and production teams can deploy flexible remote workflows without relying on traditional infrastructure.

The demonstration reflected the industry’s continued shift toward portable, cloud-connected, and software-driven production environments built around IP video and remote collaboration.
