BirdDog Supports Live Surgical Education with Real-Time Medical Video Workflows

BirdDog recently supported the AGORA program by helping deliver live surgical education through real-time video collaboration. Using BirdDog MAKI Live and X1 Ultra cameras alongside the company’s Remedi solution, participants were able to observe a live Laparoscopic Hysterectomy with In-Bag Morcellation directly from the operating theatre.
Led by Associate Professor Alex Ades, the session provided attendees with a unique opportunity to learn from a live procedure as it happened. The workflow enabled high-quality video transmission, allowing medical professionals and students to engage with the procedure remotely while maintaining clear visibility of critical surgical details.
The project highlights how connected video technology is expanding access to medical education, making it possible for healthcare professionals around the world to participate in live training and collaborative learning experiences.
