Birddog X1 and MAKI Cameras at NAB 2024

In the “Birddog X1 and MAKI Cameras at NAB 2024” YouTube video segment, Anthony Barokas of StreamTek introduces BirdDog’s new products, the X1 and MAKI cameras, which have been announced and started shipping this month. Both cameras come with enhanced NDI HX 3 format, offering improved processing speed and image quality. The company plans to support full NDI while also utilizing NDI HX 3 to exceed standards. Anthony also discusses the potential for a two-tiered product line from Birddog and MAKI, with the X1 and MAKI cameras catering to different production environments. The launch of these new cameras marks the beginning of new announcements from the company, with hints at more affordable NDIHX and higher-end 10bit PRO lines or a full NDI line.
