My ScriptSync Story Started With “Glee”

Avid ScriptSync makes the process of reworking and re-cutting my scenes so much more efficient.

It frees up more of my time to focus on creative aspects of my cuts, instead of spending excess time searching through footage. Once I’ve watched all the dailies, I know what’s there. But just because I can remember a certain line reading in my head, doesn’t mean I can quickly and precisely navigate to it. But with ScriptSync, I’m able to find it faster.


On Oct. 14, 2016, Anacortes High School opened the doors to its new Seahawks Stadium with a sold-out homecoming football game crowd and a flood of community support, all made possible by the passage of an $86.9 million bond in 2015. As the state-of-the-art facility opened, the Washington school’s Broadcast Club entered a new era of live high school sports broadcasting thanks to new equipment — also made possible by the generosity of the community….
The 1703-P3 is the company’s first reference-grade monitor, and comes pre-calibrated for working in P3 color space with SmallHD’s ColorFlow 3D LUT Engine allowing look-up tables to be used on set as part of the color management process. The display has two SDI ins and outs (supporting up to 10-bit YCC 4:2:2 1080p60), one HDMI in and out (supporting up to 12-bit RGB and YCC 4:4:4 1080p60), and a full-size SD slot that lets users load new LUTs into the display.



The process of switching from one NLE to another is not often an easy one. All that muscle memory needs to be re-learned, the tool set is different and in some cases even the conceptual paradigm on which the software operates!
