Core SWX NANO X SNAP Debuts at NAB 2026 with Scalable Modular Battery System
By Stephanie R
At NAB 2026, Core SWX introduced the NANO X SNAP, a compact 99Wh V-Mount and G-Mount battery designed to bring more flexibility and reliability to modern camera power workflows. Built on the existing NANO X platform, the new system adds a front-facing SNAP interface that allows multiple battery packs to connect together, creating a modular power solution that can scale based on production needs.
The key feature is its ability to support hot-swapping and parallel power. Additional SNAP batteries can be connected or removed while the system is running, ensuring uninterrupted power for cameras, monitors, and accessories. This makes it especially useful for live production and on-location shoots where downtime is not an option. The system also prioritizes connected SNAP packs first, preserving the main battery for extended use.
Despite its modular capabilities, the NANO X SNAP maintains a compact form factor suited for both handheld rigs and larger cinema builds. It also includes professional features such as USB-C PD input, up to 90W PD Pro AUX output, P-Tap connectivity, and intelligent battery management with load balancing. Available for pre-order at $295 and shipping in May 2026, the NANO X SNAP offers a practical approach to scalable, continuous power in production environments.
