NETGEAR M4350 firmware 14.0.9.10 introduces MLAG (Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation), giving AV integrators and broadcast network designers another option for building redundant, high-performance AV-over-IP infrastructure.
MLAG enables active-active uplinks across two matching M4350 switches, helping maintain network connectivity if a switch or link fails. It also provides a more efficient approach to multicast than traditional stacking for high-density video environments.
For AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110 workflows, MLAG offers another important advantage: redundant network designs can maintain PTP Boundary Clock functionality without the stacking limitations described for the M4350 platform.
Supported matching peer models include MSM4328F, XSM4328FV, XSM4340V, XSM4340FV, VSM4320C, XSM4344FC, and CSM4316.
For integrators designing NDI, SDVoE, SMPTE ST 2110, and large-scale Pro AV networks, the update provides greater flexibility for building scalable and resilient IP infrastructure.
