BirdDog has been on the NDI® journey since the very beginning, and we are super excited about the launch of NDI® 5. It paves the way for us to announce some brand-new products harnessing NDI® 5’snew technologies and expanding workflow possibilities!
Let’s start with the LUMIX S1H, the flagship full-frame mirrorless camera from Panasonic. It features a 24.2 Megapixel (MP) CMOS sensor capable of capturing up to 6K 24p video at 4:2:2 in 10-bit. The S1H offers Dual Native ISO — generating less noise at higher ISOs. The camera offers unlimited record time and an internal fan for improved heat dispersion. The S1H is a durable and reliable camera for creators who need to shoot for a long time. Also, the camera shoots up to 120fps in HD, or up to 60fps in UHD and DCI 4K. For improved dynamic range, the S1H supports V-Log. It also stays steady with 7-stop 5-Axis Dual Image Stabilizer (IB) 2 sensor stabilization.
Available for download later this month, NDI 5 will allow anyone to easily move video, audio and metadata over LAN, WAN and public internet – with high speed and quality using billions of devices worldwide. With NDI 5, physical studios will be able to connect to ones in the cloud and remote video production effectively becomes local.

To accomplish their post-pandemic goals, LocalGames purchased a TriCaster® Mini 4K. The unit is easy to transport wherever needed and powerful enough to handle even complex productions. For LocalGames, purchasing their TriCaster was more than just a workflow efficiency decision. It also made financial sense. “We are competing against traditional production companies with traditional workflows for these production jobs,” Pizurnia says. “With their old technology, their end-product is very expensive compared to ours, and ours is much more versatile because the workflow is already designed to stream. That’s one reason we’re as successful as we are.”
We are delighted to be able to announce to new functionalities for the ever-popular Ninja V: ProRes¬¬¬ RAW support for the Panasonic LUMIX GH5S and Ninja V users (coming soon) & enhanced metadata on Sony Alpha 7SIII with AtomOS 10.64 (available now).
