IBC 2017 in Amsterdam was huge for the media world. Here from PostPerspective are a few videos of products and companies that are taking huge steps forward this year and into next.
IBC 2017: Avid‘s Matt Feury
Avid was at IBC with Media Composer|First, a free version of the NLE. The non-free version of Media Composer now has new hardware – the new Avid Artist DNxIV. Also at the show was Nexis Pro for small production teams.

IBC 2017: Adobe‘s Bill Roberts
Just prior to IBC, Adobe announced that it’s cloud collaboration tool Team Projects is now in V.1.0 within Premiere Pro. In terms of VR, there is GPU-accelerated effects and transitions within Premiere, including the ability to have immersive interaction within the headset. Plus updates to the entire Creative Cloud.

IBC 2017: Telestream‘s Scott Murray
Telestream and Aspera are teaming up to allow live capture of content from anywhere in the world. A demo was shown using Telestream’s LightSpeed Live and Aspera’s FASP moving content from California to Amsterdam over the public internet and doing live frame chase editing using Adobe Premiere. Telestream’s Vantage has also been updated.

IBC 2017: Boris FX‘s Brian Fox
Boris FX was at IBC with new versions of all its products, including Mocha, Continuum and Sapphire.
