Singapore Polytechnic Modernizes AV Education with AJA BRIDGE LIVE and NDI Workflows

By Stephanie R 0 Comment April 30, 2026

Singapore Polytechnic is transforming its audiovisual curriculum by integrating modern IP-based production workflows into its training environment. In collaboration with system integrator IDEAL Systems, the institution built a state-of-the-art NDI-based video production studio designed to give students hands-on experience with both traditional SDI and emerging IP technologies. At the center of this setup is AJA BRIDGE LIVE, which enables seamless conversion between SDI, SRT, and NDI, helping bridge the gap between legacy and next-generation workflows.

The new studio supports real-world production scenarios, allowing students to stream and manage live events across multiple locations. Using mobile rack units equipped with cameras, audio systems, and SRT connectivity, content can be transmitted from up to six remote locations back to a central control room. There, BRIDGE LIVE converts incoming SRT streams into NDI for live switching, graphics, and distribution. This flexible setup not only supports campus events but also trains students in remote and hybrid production environments that reflect current industry practices.

By adopting NDI and IP-based workflows, Singapore Polytechnic is preparing students for the evolving demands of broadcast and ProAV industries. The system simplifies cabling, reduces infrastructure costs, and enables scalable production, while BRIDGE LIVE’s bi-directional encoding and decoding capabilities streamline operations. As a result, students gain practical experience with modern tools and workflows, positioning them for success in a rapidly changing AV landscape.
