Grass Valley at NAB 2026: AMPP Growth, Hybrid Workflows, and the Future of Live Production
By Stephanie R
At NAB Show 2026, Grass Valley CEO Jon Wilson highlighted the company’s rapid evolution toward software-defined production, led by the explosive growth of its AMPP platform. What began as a solution for early cloud adopters has scaled to over 20 million production hours per month, now supporting both major broadcasters and smaller content owners. This growth reflects a broader industry shift toward flexible, scalable production workflows that can adapt to changing demands.
Rather than replacing traditional infrastructure, Grass Valley is focused on hybrid workflows that combine proven hardware with cloud and software tools. At NAB, this approach was showcased through innovations like the LDX 180 camera for live production, the Altair 12G router and multiviewer, and the ACE-3901-GRID card bridging SDI into software environments. Expanded capabilities in the Framelight X cloud-native MAM platform, along with new remote editing tools and single-operator production solutions, reinforce Grass Valley’s strategy of giving production teams more control, flexibility, and efficiency across modern broadcast workflows.
