Pepperdine University Expands Live Sports Production with Canon CR-X300 PTZ Cameras

Pepperdine University partnered with Game-On Entertainment to elevate its live sports streaming workflows with a more professional broadcast production setup. As part of the upgrade, the athletic department integrated Canon CR-X300 4K PTZ cameras to improve coverage flexibility while supporting high-quality streaming for athletic events.
The CR-X300 PTZ cameras allowed the production team to capture dynamic camera angles from positions that would normally be difficult for traditional camera operators to access. This added flexibility helped create more engaging live broadcasts while reducing limitations around camera placement inside sports venues.
By combining PTZ technology with professional live production workflows, Pepperdine University expanded its ability to deliver broadcast-quality game coverage while supporting the school’s focus on student-athlete engagement and championship-level athletics.
